MAINTENANCE OF COMMON MALFUNCTIONS IN DIESEL ENGINES - WHITE SMOKE EMISSIONS FROM DIESEL ENGINES
(1) CHECK THAT THE TEMPERATURE OF THE WATER TEMPERATURE OF THE DIESEL ENGINE IS TOO LOW. FOR A DIESEL ENGINE THAT BURNS AT LOW TEMPERATURE, THE DIESEL SPRAY IS EASY TO ATOMIZE AND BURN, BUT STILL PART OF THE FOG AND SMOKE OF THE DIESEL ENGINE EXHAUST IS WHITE. WHEN THE DIESEL ENGINE IS WORKING, WHEN THE WATER TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 67 DEGREES CELSIUS, IT IS CALLED A COLD STATE; DIESEL ENGINES WORK IN COLD COUNTRIES, WHICH IS VERY DETRIMENTAL TO THEIR SERVICE LIFE. THEREFORE, ACTIVE MEASURES SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PREVENT DIESEL ENGINES FROM OPERATING IN COLD COUNTRIES. START THE ENGINE AND LET IT IDLE FOR 3-5 MINUTES. THEN, WITH A LOW THROTTLE AND WORKLOAD, SLOW DOWN THE WARM-UP UNTIL THE DIESEL ENGINE WATER TEMPERATURE REACHES THE GREEN TEMPERATURE RANGE, AND THEN THROTTLE.(2) THE SPEED OF INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT IS TOO SMALL FOR THE ADVANCE ANGLE OF FUEL INJECTION, WHICH IS TOO LATE. DIESEL FUEL IS SPRAYED INTO THE ATOMIZATION COMBUSTION, AND THE EXHAUST OIL MIST IS WHITE OR GRAY WHITE.(3) CHECK THE QUALITY OF DIESEL. POOR DIESEL QUALITY OR EXCESSIVE MOISTURE IN DIESEL CAN PRODUCE EXCESSIVE WATER VAPOR AND WHITE OR GRAY SMOKE EMISSIONS DURING COMBUSTION.
